Your data, your rules. Here's what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it across Sewead App and Sewead Studio.

Who We Are
Sewead is a product of ZYA, a sole proprietorship in India. Public contact address: ZYA, New Delhi, Delhi, India.
Sewead is a creative commerce platform that connects independent creators and manufacturers with buyers seeking unique products, bespoke work, and live drops.
We operate two applications:
- ▸Sewead App - The consumer-facing platform where users browse, discover, and purchase products, bespoke items, and participate in live bid drops.
- ▸Sewead Studio - The creator/seller dashboard where verified creators manage product listings, fulfill orders, track revenue, and withdraw earnings.
Information We Collect
We collect different categories of data depending on whether you use Sewead App (as a buyer) or Sewead Studio (as a creator/seller). Below is a complete breakdown for each platform.
Sewead App - Consumer Data
When you create an account and use the Sewead App, we collect:
Account & Identity
- ▸Full Name - Used to personalize your profile and for order processing.
- ▸Email Address - Used for account authentication (login), order confirmations, and essential communications.
- ▸Phone Number - Used for order-related SMS notifications, delivery coordination, and account recovery.
- ▸Profile Picture - Uploaded from your device gallery to personalize your account. Stored using secured cloud storage services.
Delivery & Location
- ▸Delivery Address(es) - Saved addresses used for shipping orders to you. You may store multiple addresses.
- ▸GPS / Location Data - Accessed with your permission to auto-fill delivery addresses and provide location-based recommendations.
Activity & Usage
- ▸Order History - Complete record of your purchases, order statuses, and transaction details for your reference and our fulfillment operations.
- ▸Browsing & Interaction Data - Products viewed, searches made, categories explored, and engagement patterns used for interest-based personalization, tagging, ranking, and fraud prevention.
- ▸Wishlist & Saved Items - Products you save or bookmark for later.
- ▸Posts, Inspirations & Comments - Content you post publicly on Sewead, including inspiration posts, comments, and social interactions. Public content may be visible to other users and may be used for platform recommendations and moderation.
- ▸Bid Activity - Bids you place on auction listings, including bid amounts, timestamps, and outcomes. Confirmed bids are binding.
- ▸Bespoke / Custom Order Details - Specifications, descriptions, agreed terms, and communications related to any custom or bespoke orders you initiate.
- ▸Chat Messages - Messages exchanged with creators through our in-app messaging system. Messages may be stored and processed to provide chat, safety, support, dispute handling, and fraud-prevention features. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
Payment
- ▸Payment Information - All payments are processed through Razorpay. We do not store your card numbers, UPI PINs, or banking credentials. Razorpay handles all sensitive payment data under PCI-DSS compliance.
Sewead Studio - Creator/Seller Data
When you register as a creator/seller on Sewead Studio, we collect additional business-related information:
Business Identity
- ▸Full Name / Business Name - Your legal or brand name displayed on your creator profile and invoices.
- ▸GSTIN (GST Number) - Required for tax compliance and invoice generation for B2B transactions.
- ▸Business Details - Nature of your business, product categories, and other relevant business information.
- ▸Email Address - For account management, order notifications, and business communications.
- ▸Phone Number - For order coordination, pickup scheduling, and account verification.
Logistics & Fulfillment
- ▸Pickup Address(es) - Physical address(es) from where products are picked up by our shipping partner (Delhivery) for fulfillment.
- ▸GPS / Location Data - Used to verify and auto-detect pickup locations for accurate shipping logistics.
Product & Media
- ▸Product Images & Media - Photos and videos of your products uploaded via camera or gallery for product listings on Sewead.
- ▸Product Verification Videos - Videos you record or upload as part of product verification. These are used for seller verification, dispute review, fraud prevention, and platform safety. Verification videos may be reviewed by Sewead administrators.
- ▸Product Descriptions - Titles, descriptions, pricing, variants, and other catalog data you provide.
- ▸GST Certificate & Business Documents - GST registration certificate, business identity documents, and premises/workspace details collected for seller verification and tax compliance purposes.
Financial & Payout
- ▸Bank Account Details - Account holder name, account number, IFSC code, required to process revenue withdrawals and payouts to your bank.
- ▸UPI ID - If you choose UPI as your payout method, we store your UPI handle for disbursements.
- ▸Sales & Revenue Data - Complete ledger of sales, commissions, pending payouts, and transaction history. Maintained for transparency and financial reconciliation.
- ▸Order History - All orders received, fulfilled, and returned, maintained for operational and audit purposes.
Device Permissions
Our apps request the following device permissions. Each is used only for its stated purpose and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
- ▸Camera - Sewead App: Profile picture capture. Studio: Product photography and media uploads.
- ▸Gallery / Storage - Sewead App: Profile picture selection from gallery. Studio: Product image uploads and media management.
- ▸Location (GPS) - Sewead App: Address auto-fill and delivery tracking. Studio: Pickup address verification.
- ▸Notifications - Sewead App: Order updates, messages, promotions. Studio: Order alerts, pickup scheduling, payouts.
- ▸Internet - Sewead App: Core functionality. Studio: Core functionality.
You can revoke any permission at any time from your device's Settings - Apps - Sewead / Sewead Studio - Permissions. Some features may not function without their required permissions.
Payments & Razorpay
All payment processing on Sewead is handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway.
- ▸What Razorpay collects - Card numbers, UPI IDs, net banking credentials, and wallet details during transactions. This data is processed and stored by Razorpay, not by Sewead.
- ▸What Sewead stores - Transaction IDs, payment status (success/failure/pending), order amounts, and payment method type (for example, UPI or card), but never the actual card or account numbers.
- ▸Refunds - Refund requests are processed through Razorpay back to the original payment method. Refer to our Refund and Dispute Policy for timelines.
- ▸Creator Payouts - Revenue earned by creators on Sewead Studio is disbursed to their registered bank account or UPI ID. Payout records are maintained in the creator's ledger.

Shipping & Delhivery
Sewead uses Delhivery as its logistics and shipping partner to fulfill orders, and may use other supported logistics providers where needed.
- ▸Data shared with Delhivery - Buyer's name, delivery address, phone number, and package details (weight, dimensions), strictly for the purpose of shipping and delivery.
- ▸Seller data shared - Pickup address and contact number from Sewead Studio creators for package collection.
- ▸Tracking - Delhivery provides real-time tracking data (shipment status, location) which we display within the app.
Products are shipped directly from our creator network to you. Logistics partners receive only the minimum data necessary for fulfillment.
In-App Messaging & Chat
Sewead provides an in-app messaging system that allows buyers to communicate directly with creators and sellers.
- ▸Message Content - Messages may be stored and processed to provide chat, safety, support, dispute handling, and fraud-prevention features. In-app messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
- ▸Media in Chat - Images or files shared in chat are uploaded and stored using secured cloud storage services, including Cloudflare storage where applicable.
- ▸Purpose - To facilitate product inquiries, bespoke order discussions, post-purchase communication, and dispute resolution.
- ▸Moderation - We reserve the right to review messages when reported for abuse, harassment, or fraud, or where required to resolve a dispute or investigate platform safety issues.
Push Notifications
Both Sewead App and Sewead Studio use push notifications powered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- ▸FCM Device Tokens - We store your device's FCM token to deliver push notifications. This token does not reveal personal information.
- ▸Types of notifications (App) - Order status updates, shipping alerts, new messages from creators, promotional drops, and bid updates.
- ▸Types of notifications (Studio) - New order alerts, pickup scheduling reminders, payout confirmations, and buyer messages.
- ▸Opt-out - You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Some critical order-related notifications may still be sent via email or SMS.
Personalization & Recommendations
We use your activity on the platform to provide a personalized experience:
- ▸Interest-Based Feed - Products, categories, and creators shown to you are influenced by your browsing history, past orders, searches, and engagement patterns.
- ▸Location-Based Suggestions - When GPS is enabled, we may show products or creators relevant to your geographic area.
- ▸Order History Analysis - Your past purchases help us recommend similar or complementary products.
- ▸AI-Assisted Features - Sewead may use AI or LLM providers (such as OpenRouter or similar services) to power recommendations, content tagging, product feed ranking, moderation assistance, and product or feed guidance. Content processed through AI services does not include raw personal identifiers.
- ▸Advertising - Sewead may use Google AdMob or similar advertising services where in-app advertising is enabled. These services may use device advertising IDs and app usage signals for ad targeting under their own privacy policies. You may opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.
Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures:
- ▸Cloud Infrastructure - Firebase and Google Cloud handle authentication, core database and platform records, cloud functions, and push notifications where applicable, with encryption in transit and at rest.
- ▸Media & File Storage - Uploaded profile pictures, product images, verification videos, chat media, and similar assets may be stored and delivered using secured cloud storage services, including Cloudflare storage where applicable.
- ▸Access Control - Internal access to user data is restricted on a need-to-know basis with role-based permissions.
- ▸Authentication - User authentication is handled using industry-standard security controls. We support Google Sign-In and email/password authentication.
- ▸Financial Data - Bank details and UPI IDs of creators are stored with encryption and accessed only during payout processing.
While we employ best-effort security practices, no system is 100% immune to breaches. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- ▸Razorpay - Payment processing. Data shared: Transaction details and payment method data.
- ▸Delhivery - Shipping and logistics. Data shared: Name, address, phone, and package details.
- ▸Firebase / Google Cloud - Authentication, database, core platform records, cloud functions, and notifications. Data shared: Account data, app data, and FCM tokens where applicable.
- ▸Cloudflare - Uploaded media, files, and asset storage or delivery where applicable.
- ▸Firebase Analytics - App usage analytics and crash reporting. Data shared: Device info, usage patterns, and crash logs.
- ▸Google AdMob - In-app advertising where enabled. Data shared: Device advertising ID, app usage data, and ad interaction data.
- ▸OpenRouter / AI providers - AI-powered recommendations, tagging, moderation, and product assistance. Data shared: Product descriptions, content excerpts, and usage context, without raw personal identifiers.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is shared only as necessary to provide the services described above.
Data Retention
- ▸Active Accounts - Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- ▸Order Records - Transaction and order data is retained for a minimum of 8 years for tax, legal, and audit compliance.
- ▸Financial Records (Creators) - Sales ledger, payout records, and bank details are retained for a minimum of 8 years per Indian tax regulations.
- ▸Chat Messages - Message history is retained for the lifetime of both accounts. Deleted accounts result in anonymization of messages.
- ▸Deleted Accounts - Upon account deletion, personal identifiers are removed within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, GST or invoice records, payment records, shipping records, dispute records, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance, for up to 8 years or longer as required by law.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- ▸Access - You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- ▸Correction - You can update or correct your personal information at any time through your profile settings.
- ▸Deletion - You can request complete deletion of your account and associated data through the app where available or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
- ▸Data Portability - You may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- ▸Withdraw Consent - You can revoke consent for optional data processing (for example, location and notifications) at any time through your device settings.
- ▸Objection - You may object to interest-based personalization by contacting us. Core service functionality may be affected.

Age Restriction
Sewead is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.
Our platform may contain content that is not suitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18.
If we become aware that a user under 18 has registered, we will take prompt steps to delete their account and associated data. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.
- ▸Notification - Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification, push notification, or email at least 7 days before they take effect.
- ▸Effective Date - The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest version became active.
- ▸Continued Use - Your continued use of Sewead after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
